Seamless uppers to reduce rubbing are reinforced by a transparent overlay to provide support and maintain structure. Although it lacks an aggressive tread, the low-profile sole still gives adequate grip in wet conditions. But the big plus is that this design makes them suitable for a degree of crossover road-running - useful if the trail isn't right on your doorstep. The restrictive speed-lacing system means the laces only pull in so far - not good for narrow-footed runners who like their shoes fitted snugly.
