GREAT GRIP

Great grip in the wet and on rough trail/fell. Robust uppers cope well with scree etc.
ummm.... None really. Lacing can be a fiddly at first.
I use these as my fell shoe of choice and also for rough trails. Great on wet mud/grass too and coped suprising well on snow and ice last winter.

FANTASTIC GRIP BUT NOT THE BEST FIT

Grip is fantastic as already stated.
Laces keep coming undone and as I only wear them on the cold, muddy, rainy days it's pretty annoying having to stop and lace them up again. No cushioning if you intend running on tarmac at all.
The 2nd trail shoe I've tried and the grip is fantastic. The laces come loose a little too easy which means the blisters appear that little bit earlier as the shoe rarely stays done up as I like. However, they are generally comfy to run in and I'll not be looking for a different pair until these have had it.

GOOD ON GRASS AND SOFT TRAILS

Grip good as long as its reasonably dry.
Sticky mud will adhere to soles and not come off. If the going gets muddy then I will use my XC spikes every time.
Support lacking hence problems on rocky terrain.
Cushioning lacking and so no use on roads.
Pointy studs and so bad on wet roads and tarmac slopes.
A shoe to be used only on dryish grass and soft offroad trails. However there are shoes out there with more cusioning and bounce that mey be more effective over that sort of terrain.

TOP XC SHOE

Fits well. Grip incredible.Lightweight for racing.
None really, although if you are looking for support, its not to be found here. Pure lightweight racing.
Excellent shoe, however, not so good on road or Tarmac, so if you are racing all XC, this is perfect.
