Inov-8 Mudclaw 270

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion
The Mudclaw is the latest offering from Inov-8, a brand that makes nothing but off-road shoes. It’s in a similar vein to previous models such as the Mudroc and Flyroc: tough, no-nonsense and strong-gripping. Massive lugs on the outsole help it cope with the most slippery conditions, but they do limit usage to conditions when you need maximum traction. The grip makes running on anything other than mud or soft, wet grass a chore. A new feature on the Mudclaw is off-set lacing, which provides extra support as you twist and turn on uneven ground.

Some runners find Inov-8s a little too narrow, and they’re not

shoes for anyone who needs stability.
