Newton Terra Momentus

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion

Niche running brand Newton has released the latest addition to its 'forefoot running' stable of shoes.

The Terra Momentus is ostensibly designed for offroad running: upgraded mesh, reinforced toecap, increased outsole traction and a protective membrane on the upper make it suitable for running on most trail surfaces. However, the familiar Newton stripped-down construction, responsive feel and forefoot lugs also lend this shoe to road running too, making it a good all-round option.

There's a light support chassis for mild stability in the midfoot area and the sockliner is anti-bacterial to keep out nasty niffs. Plus, the colourway isn't the only green thing about this shoe: the laces, webbing, mesh, outsole rubber and packaging are all made from 100 per cent recycled materials.
