Changes to this update are minimal, which is a good thing: it was already a versatile shoe that was equally useful for speed training and runs of up to 10 miles – something again noticed by testers this time round. The addition of Asics’ Space Trusstic, a plastic midfoot shank designed to give stability and flexibility, is a welcome touch, with experienced Sky Speed wearers applauding a noticeably more controlled ride. The only real complaint was a couple of reports of tightness and rubbing in the achilles area, but this was not universal.
