Back when I was heal striking I could not wear these shoes. Put them away & forgot about them. Then watched a show about South American natives running 200 - 300 miles barefoot or with flat homemade sandals. They studied their technique & found they land on mid pad of foot & roll onto ball. This greatly reduces impact & stress to legs & spine. So I dug out the Verdicts & changed my running style & now love them. I supinate so a neutral shoe is better for me. These are supple enough to let my feet do their thing naturally. By the way I cut the lace strapping plastic off & just slip them on as they are tight enough without laces. I've been running in them for years & still enjoy the natural feel of a minimal shoe that allows my feet to do what nature intended.
