It's coming time to replace my second pair of NB 770s (which I moved to after Asics decided to re-do the DS Trainer.

Instinct says to get another pair (the 771 seems to be the same shoe) but I was wondering if the 900 would be a more DS-like shoe.

Any comments? From reading I can't work out if the 900 is supposed to be more or less supportive/cushioned than the 770

I've found the 900s have good cushioning but certainly less supportive around the forefoot, feels as through you're running bare foot. Happy with using them for racing up to half marathon but not sure they'd be good for regular training.

Went for the 900 in the end and now prefer them. I'm quite happy using them for regualr training.

Yes there have been some interesting comments on how we get used to supportive shoes and I would imagine 900s would encourage the forefoot style of running. Guess I'm more used to 854/855 style.
