Pearl Izumi Streak
A blown rubber outsole gives the shoe superior cushioning, as do the cushioning pads in the forefoot and the crashpad in the heel. The shoe also has good arch support. Forefoot flex grooves provide excellent flexibility, suitable for fast-paced road runs.
Our testers were impressed with the way the shoe managed to mix a lightweight racing-shoe feel with excellent cushioning, though some found the sizing came up a bit small. T
he lightweight mesh upper made for extreme breathability, but over the course of a few runs it appeared flimsy, casting some doubt on longer-term durability.
