Sperb racing shoe, and have recently also done a long run in these (19+ mile) with no ill effects.  Love them.  Nice to feel the road as I am 'supposed' to run in structured support shoes.

I've got a pair and its taking some getting used to as usually use Asics, ran the Woodhall Spa 10k and they felt OK but had some tightness in my abductors afterwards. Trying them again at the Clumber Park 10K next week

I like the Saucony Fastswitch 4 too even if the colour is a bit lairy. You should be really careful unless you have strong feet as I got a bit of plantar fasciitis with them. They feel comfortable but they don't provide a lot of support; best for racing.

As a triathlete lairy colours are a must!!

Will see how I go on at Clumber and report back.

As promised feedback after Clumber 10k. My first outing with them was at Woodhall Spa 10k and they were light, gave a feel for the road without being jarring, no rubs and generally felt OK but then after 7K started to feel a bit of a pull in my right calf and after the race quads were a bit tighter than usual.

Went back to my Asics until today and had used them more in training, have generally had calf problem this year so discount feedback in that respect.

Raced today with them and again as above, light, good feel without jarring, no rubs, good grip, no slipping and as I got them and a free pair of socks for £52 can't grumble.

Will I race in them again? Yes definitely.

I really, really like them for shorter races, up to 10k.  Jury's still out on longer stuff as they felt fine during a recent HM but fairly sore calves afterwards.  Maybe by next April I'll have lost some more weight and HFTU and I'll consider them for the marathon still.

No problem with the colour and actually think they're off-set nicely with a nice pair of lightweight black socks (28g).

PP - some bad news - while you were away I did 16 or so with 12 @ mp in the fastwichs, but my foot at the bottom was aching a bit and the rest of my legs a bit too much too. I was having some suspicions about them before actually cos I did some fast stuff in my tempos which have a very stiff sole and I actually felt faster than the FW4s. SO long story short, it'll be a pleasure to run with you in april next year, but my shoes will be the red adios which seem to suit me a lot better, and not the planned co-ordinated jobs. That said if it all goes tits up on sunday it may not be those either!
