Saucony Grid Fastwitch 5
 |
Improved midfoot support |
| |
 |
Uncomfortable |
What's new? Designed to be a racing/training hybrid, the main change is increased weight and midfoot support.
We say Saucony's top-selling racing shoe, this update is technically good: strong midfoot support and improved torsion control were immediately apparent, and transition to toe-off was excellent. But comfort was a problem. Our testers had issues: rubbing toebox seams, a tongue that's too long and laces that put pressure on the arch. Suitable for normal arched runners looking for a racing shoe with heft.
Wear testers say "Not an all-rounder but suitable for speedwork and shorter runs." Andy Murray
