Saucony Grid Type A4

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion
Great breathability and lightweight

Limited cushioning

What's new? A wider mesh, lower midsole height and fewer overlays for a minimalist feel.

We say This is a no-frills, super light, super low-profile racing shoe that doesn't try to be anything else. The upper had a structure that fits under the mesh to allow for great breathability while holding the foot firmly in place. Speedy, lighter testers loved the stripped-down feel, although the lack of cushioning put heavier runners off. Responsiveness and flexibility scored highly in the lab and on the street. A racing flat for days when every lost gram counts.

Wear testers say
"Low profile, great fit round the ankle and the grip on icy roads was very good." Scott Mitchell
