I am used to New Balance where I haven't had these problems despite high mileage. I would recommend these shoes but suggest you also look at the NB offering. These are expensive.

I have very flat feet, so the substantial arch support causes blistering, but at the same correcting my gait nicely.
I prefer blisters than shin-splints, so these shoes get my vote - (compeed comes in handy).

Ive tried several different trainers either they were to hard, not offering enough cushioning and i kept getting knee problems. I then came across the salvation"excellent". I feel so much support and comfort that i don't wish for any other trainer I'm on to my 4th pair. I hope their are not to many changes in the Salvation 2 trainer due out shortly.
