Firm forefoot |
The Salvation, formerly adiStar Control, has become slightly wider and more cushioned in the forefoot to give a more stable feel. Overlays on the forefoot are now stitched onto the upper rather than glued, to save weight and to enable a looser, more breathable mesh to be used.
As befits the change of name, the Salvation is a less controlling shoe than a couple of years ago but this version is a minor upgrade of the Control 5. It's noticeably lighter and the GeoFit foam inside the heel collar makes for a really plush feel, but a few of our testers still found the forefoot firm. Our wear-testers say:
"Excellent support around my heel and ankle, no rubbing, easy to run in. Breathable uppers. I'd like them to feel bouncier." - Hannah Doyle
