I got these from the Adidas Store, using their "mi adidas" service. The great advantage of this was that I got shoes specially fitted to my feet, which are wide and different sizes. Adidas can cater for this, Continue reading...
A boon to my running which is a testament to going to a "proper" running shop to get your shoes fitted. I was always buying shoes that looked good in shops and had got to the stage where I had a pain in my knee Continue reading...

I get 1.5 inch blisters on my insoles every time I run over 4km in my otherwise comfortable Nike Pegasus.
After a foot scan Sweatshop said that my feet roll in a bit as I run and recommended a pair of Adidas Supernova Control (£70) which felt comfortable and like they would support my feet. I’m really tempted to buy a pair.......does anyone have any views? Are they likely to stop my blisters?

I have these and although I'm not doing a heck of alot of running at the moment, I haven't had any problems previously with them.

What I will say is that mine were cheaper than £70, I ordered from the internet. Also, I am normally a size 5 but needed a 5½ in these trainers.

Hope they work for you :)

Hello Shortey
Thanks for sending a reply so quickly. I like the tip about the internet and will certainly take that route. I also found that I had to take quite a big size - Did you have blisters too?

I use Adidas Supernova Cushion.
Love them
You can get excellent deals from Start fitness, 2 pair for £80 on last years shoes.

ditto to comment about needing 1/2 size biggerthan normal.

Bought a pair of Supernova Controls after getting blisters on my insoles from Asics GT-2090's. Never had any major problems with the Controls, the midfoot and forefoot fit is narrower so if you haven't got wide feet this is a good shoe. The snug fit probably helped to eliminate the blisters. It also feels very solid and protective and are about the same weight as Nike Pegasus.

I would recommend trying a pair on in a shop before buying from the internet though as fit may be too narrow for wide feet and the adidas sizing is different (as mentioned above). I too can recommend Start Fitness, difficult to beat their prices if they have your size.

Forgot to add. Blister occurances have been few and far between.

I've got the Supernova Control and haven't had any problems. Get the odd blister but that was to do with the socks, not the shoe.
I got mine from Sweatshop for £50. Very quick delivery. OH got his Supernova cushion from Start Fitness on the 2 for 1 offer.

I use the Supernova Control and love them. They are a bit on the firm side but very light - light enough for racing. This must be the 10th generation of the Supernova family over the years... I have always found them predictably good and have had no problems at all. The adidas Response is also an excellent shoe and comes in Control and Cushion versions - I have a pair of Cushion that I alternate with the Supernovas. Good luck! I weigh 53 kgs.
