I have just started to get into running although really need to build up my distance....I currently just run on the treadmill at the gym but would like to run outside as well. Can anyone recommend a pair of trainers that aren't too expensive? There seem to be so many options!

As above, but you need to remember that a decent pair of running shoes (rather than trainers) are going to cost more than regular trainers but long-term, if they the right sort for you, will allow you to do much greater distances.
Although to be honest, good running shoes are no more expensive than most of the trainers the local chavs in our area wear!

once you know what shoes you need ..........then the shop can show you the options...........most good running shops are happy for you to try on 8 or 9 pairs to find the right one at your budget.........of ryour first pair always go to a good running shop and buy them there...............
after that if you want to try and get them cheaper for last seasons colours on the internet then you can..............but a lot of running shops have a great range and good expertise
