This shoe has barely changed from its predecessor, the 1130, but that's no bad thing. The Lite SpEVA midsole foam has been made softer than before. The upper has also changed, with fewer overlays and a softer mesh.

Like previous versions, the 1140 went down as well as its pricier stablemate, the 2140. Our testers found them a little firm at first but they softened after a few runs. The lighter weight and greater breathability are noticeable improvements while stability and cushioning are as reliable as ever. Our wear-testers say:
