Asics Gel-1150

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion

What’s new? A new decoupled structure in the forefoot and rear foot, with deeper flex grooves for better flexibility and dissipation of landing force. A whopping 34g of weight have been dropped from its predecessor, the GEL-1140.

We say A well-cushioned and flexible shoe that gets all the basics right, the 1150 layers plenty of foam padding underneath the foot and snugly wraps the arch with an upper that accommodates an expansive toe-box. The 1150 features smaller Gel units in the heel and forefoot than other ASICS shoes in the new range, but the 1150 was one of the plushest shoes on test. For normal-arched runners.

Wear testers say “Very comfortable shoe after the wear-in period. Good stability.” Shelley Martin
