COMFY AND FAIRLY CHEAP

Comfy upper and cushoining is good. (i'm 6 foot 2 and 14.5 stone)
After 150 mile the mesh is wearing away where my little toe is.
Only cost me £50 in Jan 2009. I buy shoes as recommended by the chap in the running shop; if he recommends Asics again, i won't have any reservations

A WELL CUSHIONED, STABLE SHOE

Nice snug fit, with plenty of support for a mild over-pronator like me. Maybe even too much support. They are very well cushioned and are nice and grippy on roads too.
Outsole eventually wears through in toe area (this is the second pair i've had in the series thats done this). Did 'fix' this on the last pair with gaffa tape! A bit annoying cause the sole seems to last a bit longer. Cushioning drops off after 300 or so miles though. They're great while they last though.
A solid, comfy, very stable road shoe for moderate over-pronators who get through plenty of miles.

THE SHOE THAT CONVERTED ME TO ASICS

Great stability shoe, holds in the wet. Light yet supportive with the best heel fit.
Sudden noticeable loss in cushioning in forefoot over 300miles.
The best fitting shoe I've had ever. No blisters, just good lightweight support and comfort. Retired them yesterday as suddenly felt like the front had become compressed cardboard. Not sure what happened there!

NICE LIGHT SHOE

Lightweight but with good cushioning.
I struggle with the slightly high arch support, but better in this than the 2120.
Found this shoe best suited to runs less than 10k as eventually the arch support rubs / blisters my feet. Not a problem with the Kayano 14's which I have. I wonder why this is as they are both stability shoes?
