Asics Gel-Kayano 15

The Kayano now has asymmetrical lacing, though it's less dramatic than on the brand's flagship Kinsei. The Solyte foam in the forefoot is now injected rather than compression moulded to make it feel lighter and more consistent. Gel in the rearfoot has been expanded and the Space Trusstic in the arch is more rigid on the inside of the foot.

If there's any complaint about Asics stability models, it's that they tend to be on the heavy and stiff side but this update is a huge improvement. It's lighter and the forefoot feels really plush.

The new lacing isn't for everyone but our testers found it, at worst, harmless and at best a revelation.
