We know that we go on a bit about the Asics 2000 series, but we genuinely believe the shoes in the range have consistently been among the best on the market: with a nigh-on perfect blend of cushioning, support and responsiveness. Luckily Asics realises this and tries hard not to mess with the winning formula. So, if you liked the 2090, you won’t have too many complaints about the 2100. There’s a little more cushioning in the midsole and extra foam under the insole for a softer feel. The medial post is supported with denser foam, and the midfoot is reinforced with a thermal plastic wrap to better control excessive pronation. Extra Gel in the forefoot also allows for a more natural toe-off.
