For the latest update of the Vapor, Brooks has concentrated on improving the overall comfort of the shoe. To achieve this Brooks has removed some of the overlays on the upper to increase breathability and reduce the chance of blistering, and widened the flex-grooves running from the heel-to-toe for a smoother ride. The design of the plastic shank that wraps over the midfoot has also changed in a bid to increase the stability.
