Mizuno Wave Nexus 3

Light, durable foam in midsole

Average performer
Modifications have been kept to a bare minimum on the latest version of this no-frills stability shoe. A longer wave plate is included to provide the foot with a fluid transition from heel to toe. The old EVA midsole has been replaced with a new lighter, durable foam and the upper has softer lining and fewer layers to reduce irritation.

The Nexus is traditionally a comfortable, stable ride without being brilliant in any area and this latest version is more of the same. The main thing our testers commented on was the extra room in the toe-box, and the fact that even with this added room the shoe did not feel slippy. Our wear-testers say:

"They felt lightweight and breathable."
