The updated Nirvana is built on a new last (foot form) that is roomier in the midfoot and toebox, so the shoe should accommodate a larger range of foot types. Mizuno has also redesigned the SensorPoint support columns, which sit just below the Wave plates on the medial (arch) side for better stability and durability. Our lab tests showed the Nirvana to be slightly more flexible than its predecessor, which will help lighter runners who need a more natural range of motion.
