No where as good as the previous shoe

Same price as before
Feel much bigger across the fore foot. Heel collar is way higher than before which rubs my ankles. Doesn't feel as responsive as version 6 of this shoe of which I had two pairs.
Having used versions 5 and 6 of this shoe I have no idea why a winning formula was played around with. It may explain why some retailers appear to have stopped stocking this model. Hopefully version 8 will see a return to form. In the meantime I will be hunting down old stocks of version 6.

This is a comfortable shoe giving excellent support to my fragile heels

Loads of support enough cushioning but allowing good feel and flexibility. The shoe feel incredibly light for such a technical shoe.
some larger runners may find the cushioning a little firmer than other shoes in this catagory
I've been wearing my shoes for a couple of weeks now and they have become one of my all timw favourites. I have had heel pain on and off for a couple of years and I have been impressed with the support these shoes give me.

Painful

Reasonably durable
Look good
Heavy
Uncomfortable
I've owned the past 3 versions of this shoe and these are by far and away the least comfortable. I get hotspots after just 30mins of running and blisters on both feet, I've never had this issue with the previous versions. I've managed to put up with them for 3 months but it's time to finally admit defeat and bin them for something else. The sizing seems to have changed slightly from the previous versions and these are slightly larger.

Oh dear....Mizuno have really lost the plot - both Inspire and Nirvana.

Umm....they look nice and apparently are very durable (although I'll never find out). Very breathable upper materials.
Heavy. Clunky ride. Lack of cushioning. No road feel at all. High heel collar irritates my ankle bone similar to Inspire 7.
I bought these to replace a pair of Inspire 7s I couldn't wear due to pain caused by the high and tight heel collar. These are little better, despite feeling fine in the shop.

I really can't see the point of this shoe - it has a very thick midsole and props the foot high off the ground, yet they're as hard as rocks. It's not as if the midsole depth provides any cushion. There is no road feel, so I feel like I'm running on bricks. The upper fit is nice in the front and midfoot, but too tall around the ankle. Also the shoe's exaggerated toe upturn means one's toes are never flat in the shoe - always turned up and "pre-loaded", which can play havoc with some people's plantar fascia.

My Kayano 17s and Inspire 6s feel like heaven compared to these.

BTW, I'm 73kg and 173cm.

expensive mistake

erm.... nice laces
heavy....hurt my feet....added almost 3 mins to a 5k....made me run flat footed at best, almost impossible to get onto my toes, despite the "lift" in the toe area....£110 wasted.
been running Mizuno shoes for years, so when my nivana 5's wore out I got these, expecting improvement, not a noticable decline in performance. plodding round the shop was okay, though a 5k took almost 3 mins longer than expected. weather was good, I was good, only difference was the shoes.
That inspired a testing session local to home.. I ran 1km in my xc shoes, feet fine. 100m in these, and it was obvious they are not right, almost limping after 100m. I went back home, changed into my old, worn out shoes, and could run normally + sprint fairly hard.
I can't recomend these, maybe fine for someone else - anyway, if you fancy a really low mileage pair.....
The average scores are for things I can't comment on - eg durability. have only done 15 km, so no wear yet.
Fitted well though, felt nice while sat on the sofa..
