MY god... Youwont catch me now!

Light and very Comfortable

Most expensive trainers i've bought.... by far (only downside)

This is my 3rd pair of Newtons but first Motion trainers. My transition from heavy heel striking to landing on my forefoot wasn't easy. A lot of calf and Achilles injury's along the way probably for a year. This realised a foam roller was needed more often but a fan of forefoot running i was determined to continue with this transition.

Having progressed up from the Sir Issac's the first thing i liked about them was the weight. Virtually nothing which immediately is a big hit with me as that's how i like my trainers. So light over my training HM and full marathon distances... Yes please!! Speaking to the shop assistant who examined my old trainers was confident my foot strike would be ok in and i would benefit from "upgrading"

As i said the trainers are very light very breathable and with these slippers on my feet they are very responsive when you land on the sweet spot (lugs) I feel towards the end of the race any effort needed to sprint finish.... i wont be lifting heavy legs and trainers in fact i feel stronger in my running as i'm running more efficiently and running more efficiently.... I'm saving energy and having a stronger race achieving faster times and gaining confidence.

Great shoes but outer mesh ripped.

Great fit, comfort is good and the system works! Pb's keep falling!

They ripped and are currently back with the supplier.

These are my 3rd pair of Newton shoes. First pair were Isaac s and they completely transformed my running. Very good shoes to start off with the brand. Decided to buy 2 pairs to rotate so first got 2012 distance s and followed a few weeks after with the 2012 motions.
Everything was great until I noticed the blue mesh on the inside of the motion on both shoes (just under the newton 'legs') was pulling apart. This meant the shoes lost all structure and so I sent them back to the shop and am awaiting a reply from them as to when they are sending out a replacement pair. Meanwhile the distance shoes have had to pick up the slack and have not missed a beat (step?!) I can only assume that the motions were from a bad batch though as the construction where they ripped is pretty much identical to the distance shoes.

Overall they are great shoes and are worth the price tag, and assuming I get a replacement pair that go the distance like the other pairs I have had from newton they get a big thumbs up from me.

Great shoe but rather pricey!

Great fit, lightweight, good for midfoot running

price and limited availability

This shoe took a while to break in and I wasn't sure about them at first but after 100 miles they are my comfiest, most supportive road shoe! I midfoot run naturally so I didn't need to work too hard to get used to them, even so it took a few months before I was happy! They come up quite small so I would order half a size larger than normal!

REALLY COMFORTABLE SHOE, WELL WORTH THE EXTRA £50

Allow you to run further without aching legs
Forefoot striking feels more natural and faster way to run
Prevents injuries and niggles
Really comfortable

Expensive
May be a little flashy for some people

I purchased these trainers (2011 version) a few weeks ago and the salesman told me they may take a few weeks to get used to which may be true for some, but i loved them immediately. Before i bought these i could run no more than 20 miles a week without my legs hurting now i am running 40 and no aches or pains. The forefoot running style immediately improved my 5k pb by 40 seconds, I would definately reccomend them and will be getting some more when mine are worn

Work for me

Light shoes with a focus on midfoot striking

The lace eyelets tear the shoe cloth very easily

good shoe, quality of lace eyelets could be better
