I wore them in the flora london marathon 2006 (although advised not to)o.k. for 8 miles then they affected my ilible tibera band and took me 7 hours to hobble round (that was my eleventh london)I over pronate,a Continue reading...
Worth paying a little more than a basic running shoe. Continue reading...
great shoe - I have the Kantara II, which is a cosmetic update - buy with confidence for support and cushioning. looks to give great mileage also. I like it so much that I got a 2nd pair. 9/10. Continue reading...
They are a bit pricey but I had three pairs now and don't want to change. I had to really down them down as hardly anybody keeps them anymore. Found a supplier and have ordered two pairs this time. Continue reading...
this is my favorite trainer, I run about 30mpw and the support and comfort on this shoe is first class. A bit pricey but well worth it. No blisters, chaffing and plenty of room for wide feet. Continue reading...

I have been running in Kantara's for just over 2 years and have had the least amount of injuries, I am also finding that every time a new pain/niggle breaks out it is usually because my Kantara's need replacing.

This is an exceptional shoe for comfort however, I am finding that it has excessive wear on the outside of the shoe at the heel. I generally have to replace my Kantara's by the time they have clocked up 400 miles which is generally every 3 months.

Is anyone else finding this a problem? and have you found an equivalent shoe with better durability?

Hi Nick i have the same problem with my shoes. Its because of your running style my outer edge of my left shoe goes faster than my right. My asics 2100 have been good not much wear but cushion going after 3 months .

Thats interesting, Have you ever tried a different type or do you stay with the tried and tested?

Also do you change your trainers at a set mileage or do you wait for a tell tale sign?

Hi Nick I wear the Air Kantara and have the same problem. The last time I got hold of a pair was aroumd February time and it was quite difficult as many shops don't stock it any more. For me it's a really comfortable shoe but they do wear out quick. I have two pair and try to alternate wearing them and probably haven'y done as much mileage as you lately but I need to find an alternative as well.

Hi Nick i do try different shoes and because i do trail, road, and hills my shoes change all the time .I think shoes dont last as long because the people that make running shoes want you to come back more times a year for new shoes.I dont get the mileage and wear on the shoes like i used to or could be i`m a bit fatter now after some injurys.
