Nike Air Structure Triax 10

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion

The last Structure Triax received an Editor’s Choice award in 2006, so number 10 has a lot to live up to. Thanks to Nike adding some of the best bits from the excellent Air Pegasus – the 2006 RW International Editor’s Choice winner – it is, if anything, even better.

As with the Pegasus there’s now a 5mm layer of soft rubber that sits on top of the midsole for improved cushioning. The Triax also sports the same semi-rigid sockliner found in the Pegasus. This liner helps cradle the foot.

Nike has also beveled the midsole in the outer part of the heel, which causes you to land more to the outside, reducing the rate and degree of pronation.

Another bonus - there's a gap under the sockliner in which you can place your Nike + unit.
