Reasonable shoe, but not sure that the 8mm thing is all it's cracked up to be?

Light and feel "speedy" for an everyday training shoe.
Look good in the blue.
Toe box initially feels more tapered/narrower than i'm used to (Brooks Adrenaline's).
Trained for VLM in these and disappointed with their durability... Midsole already showing signs that they've had it after only 300'ish miles! Adrenaline 12's still going strong after 550!!!
As a mid-foot striker, i'd appreciate a little more mid-foot cushioning.
A decent shoe, but maybe geared towards heel striker's who are looking to change to a mid/forefoot strike. Saucony made big noises about the 8mm heel/toe drop, but as a mid-foot runner, i didn't really seem to get any benefit?
Need to be more durable.

Great shoe been in progrid 3s for years upgraded to 5s and love em. Running quicker!

Good stable shoe, really comfortable and lighter than progrid 3s
95 quid a pair is not good on the wallet but worth every penny!
Gret shoe fully recommend these!

Initial reaction wow!!!

Lightweight, foot position, great looking
Toe box seems a bit tighter
Having had Guide 3's & 4's and liked then it was natural to go for this cool looking new shoes and must say I'm not disappointed.

I could immediately feel my running style change from pronounced heel strike to a more central foot (which I'm lead to believe is more efficient). Took a bit of getting used to but, I don't know if it's the weight, the change in style or pure coincidence but my times on training runs have got quicker without any perceived increase in effort.

And on a totally non technical note I love the blue / yellow colour scheme (you have to run faster in these :-) )

Excellent trainers

Brand new pair of ProGrid 5 available for only £50.00 plus postage (or collect from Milton Keynes or Northampton). Won in a competition but unsuitable for my neutral running style.

Still boxed, totally unused. Photo available if required.
