Saucony ProGrid Paramount

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion
The new flagship model from Saucony uses the Flexion Plate, trialled in the Grid Sinister last autumn. It's a plastic plate along the sole that gives a more efficient run by exaggerating the natural 'spring' of your foot. Comfortemp in the upper regulates temperature while full-length ProGrid offers cushioning and support. It's fairly stable thanks in part to the wide forefoot. Our lab tests show that it's firm in the heel but flexible in the forefoot, helping to give a smooth ride. The Flexion Plate has a noticeable effect, putting a spring in your step, and overall it's a pleasure to run in. Our wear-testers say: "A good, lightweight, comfortable shoe that breathes well." - Joe Puluer
