Under Armour Illusion
 |
Good heel-to-toe transition |
| |
 |
Restrictive ankle fit |
The midsole foam and the gel inserts in the heel are thinner than on the other Under Armour shoes we tested and the overall profile is lower to the ground.
The Illusion is a decent everyday trainer. Our testers commented that the material round the ankle felt restrictive and had mixed feelings about the footsleeve (stretchy sewn-in tongue) which was more popular among testers of the other Under Armour models.
Some also found it a little lacking in cushioning. However, stability, breathability and transition are good in this shoe.
Our wear-testers say: "Personally, I find the footsleeve too snug. It feels less cushioned than my normal shoe but is still a nice shoe to run in." - Louise Bottomley
