Under Armour Revenant
 |
Smooth heel-to-toe transition |
| |
 |
Felt heavy |
The Revenant is designed for moderate overpronators and features a thick plug of Cartilage cushioning in the rearfoot to cushion landing.
In the midsole an Armour Guide unit (a plastic cradle) cushions the heel on impact and extends into the midfoot, helping prevent sideways motion and give a smoother transition from heel to toe.
There's no question the Revenant is a stable shoe, but our testers had mixed reactions: all found it on the heavy side, and some felt it was stiff and firm though our lab tests suggest otherwise.
Testers with greater stability needs enjoyed the cushioning and ride of the shoe, and it works well for pronounced heel strikers.
Our wear-testers say:
"The best features were its appearance and its stability, with good support in the heel which made my feet feel secure." - Rachel Badham
