Forum Spotlight: The London 07 Dilemma
By Jane Hoskyn on 26/09/2006 14:53:02
To FLM or not to FLM? That is the question on the forum...
'd recommend getting in a few 5K, 10K, half marathons etc before you try a marathon."Every RW member knows that it's a bad idea to run any marathon when you've got barely any running experience and have done precious little training. The pulling power of London

By RichK on 15/06/2005 12:24:57
13 per cent of the field at the 2005 32-mile Dartmoor Discovery were RW forumites. Read about the training... the hills... the celebrations and, er, the selfless litter-picking
10K tacked on to the end. Especially when it’s in the Dartmoor National Park. Then in October, T Rex started a thread for Dartmoor Discovery 2005, and subtitled it “Unfinished business”. Put like that, it becomes a challenge, doesn’t it? T Rex, Trinity

2004's forum build-up to the Oxfordshire 26.2 began in February, and culminated in October. Here's the inside story
in between, and finished in 3.53, which is almost 3 minutes inside 9 minute mile pace. Of course I'm happy with my time (a V50 PB for me) but I still wondered if others might have gone faster if I'd been more restrained in the final 10K?So with those thoughts

Wacky Racers
By Ben Palfreyman on 19/08/2010 17:27:47
Up for a challenge? Look no further. Test your speedwork on the sand or your endurance in the jungle with our pick of the world’s most devilishly difficult races
but can be great fun. Soft sand can put a strain on your Achilles, so start on wet, firm sand. Barefoot running is a good way to build up strength in your feet.To run on a beach in race conditions, try out a 10K on Borth Beach, Wales in August or Filey
