. I had decided to run the marathon, then run straight home again to St. Ives, Cambridgeshire.I chose to do this to raise money for the Epilepsy Society (www.epilepsysociety.org.uk), a charity who work to help promote understanding of epilepsy

My story, my joy, my pain! First time and the last time (but I said that after my first half-marathon...)
running for charity (Breast Cancer Care) in what was certainly the pinkest shirt on the course. The run started off OK, got over the start in 19 minutes and started the slow process of going past the other runners. Things were going well, felt really good

Completing the London Marathon has been a goal of mine for 30 years - finally I have done it!
to watching it on the TV during the last few weeks of his life. When I got my place this year this was a chance to put everything right and nothing was going to stop me! The obvious charity to support was Macmillan Cancer Support - this completed
