Time: 4:29Highlight - Mile 18 - Huge cheer by all forumites, chilled champagne courtesy of Ultra Meerkat, Jaffa Cake, but best of all the hugs from Ultra Meerkat and Flipper. Finally a huge cheer from everyone as I left.Lowpoint - being so cold

Time: 5:30As this was my first 'marathon experience" I was more than happy to finish, but my time of 5-30-38 was a little disappointing. The best part had to be the support I got all round the course from the people on the course they kept me going

. Thankfully, two St John's Ambulance people came running up at The Tower of London and wrapped me in a foil blanket or I'm sure I'd have turned blue! By Mile 25, I was convinced that I was going to give up because I just couldn't make my legs work any more

How the training gets better, month by month
laps, with a half-marathon p.b. it all went pear-shaped with calf pains and cramp and has left me with a sore knee/hip/thigh, that’s stopping me running. At least I finished, which is important for morale when doing long events. I can still cycle though
