I did the Tydfilian Roman Run yesterday and as an experiment/preparation, instead of energy gels I used glucose tablets.I took about two per water station stop and found that I was digesting them better than gels and I wasn't getting the 'crash

Anyone else tried the maxim energy gels (available from Safeway) they come in two falvours Strawberry and Citrus Lemon.The citrus lemon flavour is actually quite refreshing (for a sticky goo like gel). At just over £1 they are good value for money
