Can anyone tell me what the most useful spped session is for marathonas (3 hr time) - is it a marathon paced run every week of 6-12 miles ?ta your best with a session of say 800m or 400m sprints - fast (about 2m40s for 800m) do about 8 reps at 800

this is a session I could attemt to do in the pool... about 3 mins thanks! 8 x 3mins hard sounds feasible to me... I wonder how far I will actually cover? 16kph gives you 800m sorry, I mean in the pool with my aquajogger.. I think 800m in there would be a

Improving 800m times

. You don't explain how old you are or your current training regime so it's difficult for anyone to suggest alternative training to you, but you will benefit by any 800m race pace sessions that any coach can set. The session that really got me quicker

how many warm up + cool down laps ?

|| cd between 1 lap and 2 miles. i am doing one long session with the distance runners and a normal 800m/1500m session a week. i take from what you are saying the warm up takes more priority but do you need more warm up if you are running at 800m pace
