We're visiting Shropshire twice in December  and are looking for runs near Telford on 7 December and between 25 and 31 December. Ideally road races of between 10k and half marathon or cross country for beginners!Does anyone know of anything going

behind one woman carrying a child who had no intention of running!  Took 9.5mins just to get to the 1st km!  It used to be worse though when everyone was in together so it is a slight improvementGood luck Tara, its a good beginners race, got me

I thought this would be an ideal distance for a beginner like me but was amazed to realise that all the serious runners were there and i was left far behind. Still did a PB of 32 mins though so I should be grateful, I suppose, but it was a bit

I'm a beginner and have had a couple of races under my belt. Why are the water bottles so big at the water stations for the races? The majority of runners only take a few sips and then ditch the rest. I think the bottles could be made at least half
