Calcaneal Bursa

Dear all,Have just picked up an injury to my heel after two years of being injury free. I think it is a condition called Calcaneal Bursa, an inflammation of the back of the heel between the tendon skin and bone. Anyone had this injury? How long

Pain on back of heel
could be Calcaneal Bursa?

Did a 7 mile run on sunday finishing with a sharp uphill of about 0.5 mile back to home. half way up this hill i felt some pain in my right heel. looking at the injury section A-Z it could be calcaneal bursa but it's not swollen but quite sore

Anybody have any ideas about pain in my heel. There is no stress fracture as had x-ray, the only injury runners world talks about is calcaneal bursa. But i don't know. Symptoms are shrp pain when press the back of heel (bursa area). when running

Well I had to kick meself up the backside...

this. That and the fact that I've just booked myself on a 10K (Lincoln).Only problem is, my ankle is aching a bit this morning (Calcaneal Bursa Ligament injury which I'm still tending). It's quite frustrating.Anyway, enough of this whining and moaning

, as without knowing whats causing it, i don't know if i'm storing up real problems in the future?heeeeeeeeeeeelp. Has anyone mentioned a calcaneal bursa to you? There is a small fluid sac between the tendon and heel bone at the insertion point of the achilles
