Calf Strengthening Exercies
by Mr Viper

they are parallel to the floor. At the same time you raise up and balance on your toes. When you feel stable you bend your knees.  Not sure of the official angle but i think basically you bend your knees more the better you get. Also the downward-facing dog yoga pose

Ouch - Ankle!
by Smileyk

found is to stand on a step with your heels over the edge and then just drop your heels down about an inch - gives a really good stretch. Also, if you know any yoga, downward facing dog, is an excellent posture for stetching out your calves and achilles

Dog Attacks
What should you do? by andyp

?Any advice welcome. This crops up time and time again on here. There are too many dogs "just being friendly" who take chunks out of people. My advice would be to take the details and report them to the police. If runners started creating a bit more hassle

Another Day, Another Dog Attack
It's happened again :o( by XFR Bear (with a well-worn Steiffy)

/groups which seem to protect those at fault for all of these areas. For dogs the list of such lobbyists is a very long one - starting with the "Royals", Kennel Club and working downwards. If only we protected kids (or runners ?!) like this I haven't been

I LOVE RUNNING
(almost forgot...) by daisy dog

Just come in from an exhilarating 8 miler. I've had a bad week on various fronts and haven't felt like running, vicious downward spiral.Anyway, found time to go out this morning. Lovely weather, a mild, dull Autumn day, just enough breeze to cool me
