There is a national fig roll shortage, does any one know why. I heard it was down to the Fig Crunch Oooh! I've got some. Should I put them on ebay with a high reserve? It may be something to do with this aflatoxins?do they cause flatulence

Dried figs
by zombie montage

are almost as good. They do have the fabled laxative and flatulent effect on me, which is all the more reason to eat them. Yeah fresh ones are alright but they don't have that fig roll jam quality to them. fig rolls are manna !

.The real thing is only for special occasions. But are they better than fig rolls? Yes but not as good as Malt Loaf Should I have spelt malt loaf with a capital "m" and a capital "l"?? Probably not; it's a generic term rather that a brand name isnt it

what would you send for supersizing? by Do2

the supersize jaffa cake before: it's in Gary Rhodes recipe book, along with recipes for a mansized bourbon biscuit, and king fig roll. The jaffa cake can be livened up with Grand Marnier drizzled into the sponge base. Better than the original?

Fructose free gels / Mint cake?!
by Lauren Irwin 2

going longer distances so also using e.g. malt loaf, fig rolls and jelly beans. Obviously you want some water/electrolyte drink to wash it down. Mint cake has an advantage over Dextrose tablets because you don't risk a cloud of powder hitting the back
