How are the GNR times calcuated? by greenteaguzzler

The Great North Run times and results were published earlier today, and some of you may be as surprised as us to find that the time on the website does not match the time you remember seeing on the finish-line clock.Does anyone know how the time

join in the "fun".:o) Dont want to be pedantic but "Drinks Stations every 5km" in a 10km race surely means theres one at half way?!! Excellent race, even for me as beginner. Recommend to anyone just starting- what a great feeling to cross the finish-line!

Tee, that's great news.I sometimes amaze myself by being able to do that, it is a great feeling.  It's also good training, when you come to the end of a race, you can see the finish-line, if you're able to finish at speed like that, it will  help knock a few
