VLM 2012 First Timer
by chazsizeland

magazine through today to say I have got a place - VLM first timer and marathon first-timer too!  Have done a couple of halfs and long runs at the moment are around 7-10 miles so I think I can train in time!  Anyone else got VLM 2012 as their first marathon

First-timer's Marathon
Which would you recommend? by stilldreaming

Although I'd love to do London, realistically it's unlikely to happen so which other marathons are suitable for first-timers (ie friendly, not-too-serious etc etc)? Why is it unlikely? i did Abingdon (Oct) - I was last in 7rs and they drove out

First timer question
How do I know what pen I'm in by Piran

As above, I'm a first timer, it's suddenly dawned on me I have no idea what pen I'll be in, have read through everything to see if I have anything written down but I can't find anything. I can't remember what time I put on my application form either

fast first timers
too optimistic, or am I just slow? by cns

-430 time, but realistically, I'm gonna be happy with sub-five. However, I keep reading on here about other first timers doing it in sub four, sub 330. Am I missing something here, or do other first-time FLMers have a history of running and this just happens
