Grass or Soft Runs in London
Can anyone recommend soft or grass runs north of the river?

Hi all,I am new to running and have signed up to do a half marathon in March. I have had a few knee problems and would like to start my training on grass. I am based in north london and was wondering if anyone could recommend any good grass runs

Grass running ...do you find it hard?
Although grass seems ideal I always feel i am a lot slower on it

within 1/2 a mile of my home I can run onto a grassed footpath, it is away from the road and very quiet but I tend to avoid it because it seems to bog me down. I never seem to get up to pace and it feels hard work compared to the alternative 'gutter

Running on Grass

I have been running since the start of the year and have completed a couple of 10k races and am now training for the Great North. I have started doing the majority of my running on grass and can really recommend it. It is much easier on the joints

Grass tracks.

Hi.On Friday night I ran 10,000 metres on my local grass track as a sharpnener for my 10K this Sunday. I ran at the same heart-rate that I would for a 10K road race but it took me almost 48 mins to complete the run.Usually, I would complete 10K

Grass snakes
No seriously....

Hi, I've recently started running again, plodding around the pavements, and this week I've been trying to include grass verges and other grassy bits where I'm able. This is fine where the nice people in the house behind the verge keep their verge

Running in long grass

Yesterday I went for a run only to find that the grass was not as short as it looked from my car window.Is running in longish grass to be avoided or is it in fact a useful training aid ( cos it makes you get them knees up !!) i think it helps

Nettle and grass juice anyone?

While out on a hill interval run, I met a guy who I know from primary school, he told me 'nettle's and grass... that's what you need man'. Apparantly he's been drinking blended nettle and grass juice for weeks and it's 'kept him going'. Personally
