Has anyone had successful surgery for hallux rigidus? I have only just started getting pain with this problem and I still have movement in the top of the joint. The pain tends to be more noticable when walking and wearing heels than when I run. I

Hi there, I’ve been diagnosed with the condition Hallux Rigidus. Obviously this affects my running, but does anyone know the full extent? Can I do anything to help the mobility? Cheers TW3, hi. Have you injured your toe or is it arthritis related

I ran my first FLM this year. Throughout my training I suffered with a sore and inflamed big toe, which is thickened with bone growth and a tasty looking bony growth on top. I finally sort some specialist advice after FLM, he diagnosed Hallux Rigidus

Newly affected by old hallux rigidus
by slivver

I'm a few weeks in with wearing orthotics now, and I've been having pain in my 1st toe joint as it has no range of motion (hallux rigidus).  I've got a follow up booked with my pod, and I wonder what is going to happen.  I can't even walk 100M
