Protein powder
Does anybody use them? by Sacco di Noci

this in his 'going long' book.i do it by drinking chocolate milk after a long ride or a long run. tastes loads better than the protein powder stuff. GD - Chocolate milk sounds like a good alternative. Although, I'm tempted to top it up with some whey protein
