. If you can land mid foot then bigger surface area and less chance of slipping.Then again there has been a couple of times I have turned around and gone home to the exercise bike as just to slippy. I dont run in ice. Its not worth the risk. Run on the road

This sports ice looked interesting but I couldn't hyperlink from this page - so I put out some 'feelers' on the internet and found that now the only people that can sell this on the internet are www.liquidice.biz and it retails about £30

Ice bath after training???

As there is a lot of hype about having an ice bath after training I thought I’d give it a go after my 18 miler yesterday. To be honest I only lasted a minute in the bath! Should I persevere with the ice bath in future, do other runners feel

A Better Ice Bath

Some interesting photo's on runnersworld.com of some New York marathon runners using a nitrogen cooler setup rather than an ice bath. Apparently much like a traditional ice bath, cold temperatures are used to help alter blood flow in the body
