Numb index fingers

Polar HRM - Own Index
Has your's improved? by Womble

In December 2002, my 'own index' on my Polar M51 was 44, now it's 47. Am 43yo female, so this counts as 'excellent' which I imagine should apply to most forumites (with a polar hrm anyway). It's also 'excellent' for a girlie 10 ten years younger

I've just done the polar fitness test for own index which I believe is a similiar thing to VO2.What is peoples opinion of this test? I've just got a new polar HR monitor and done the test.  The value I got is more or less the same as predicted from

Polar fitness index

I have recently started running. I bougth a polar heartrate monitor and calculated my fitness index, on starting my training at the beginning of september it was 33 which was fair for someone of my age and gender. Today I did the fitness test
