hi all - just started running - well slow jogging - after a long spell out from injury - i have done two 3.5 miles this week and have sufered lower back pain - is this just a case til "i get used to it again"? cant remember suffering this first time
Can anyone HELP. When I have been running for about 2 miles a get a pain in the lower part of my back. The pain is on the R/H side, it hurts a bit but I seem to run it off about the 3 to 4 mile stage. Does this happen to anyone else, or does anyone
Yesterday I was sitting on the floor tidying my daughters bedroom. When I went to stand up my lower back seized up and today I can only get around by crawling or walking very painfully with a stooped back, holding on to doors, chairs etc. I've taken
on Wednesday... should I take Ibuprofen? I've had mild lower back pain for years, and often notice it when/after running with a back pack. It usually clears after a few hours or a day or two at worst. Exercise seems to help, resting makes it worse.

on a short run at a slow pace my lower back muscles around my spine tighten up and make it very uncomfortable.I've tried loosening up more, sleeping in different positions etc nothing seems to work. Any ideas ? Cheers How old are your running shoes
and building pain in my lower back . I have no pain in my back at any other time and as soon as i stop to stretch it stops. There are no ill-effects after the run either. It's becoming a real problem as i'm looking to increase my mileage onthese longer runs
