Hello everyone!I'm on a hunt for a goal and achieving a good for age time in a half marathon and the marathon will be a great long term goal.I'm trying to find a list of marathons which have a qualifying standard but as such I have only found
Does a 6 hour ultra marathon (assuming I go further than 26.2 miles) count towards my marathon goal of 50 marathons? I think the 100 marathon club would say yes, it counts.http://www.100marathonclub.org.uk/ yep, I would think so but I dont think
marathons but I want to know if there is a way to predict marathon performance from the results of shorter distances and times. I have PBs of 21.35 for 5K, 44.47 for 10K and 1:50.44 for the half marathon. I suppose I want to have a realistic goal to aim
it is to reach your goals! If I had no goal I would have nothing to aim for so it goes to show the importance of them.My next milestone is a Marathon in November when I want to go sub 3:59:59. I have no idea how faesible this is but I have time to train
Running lowlight: London MarathonMain goal for the next 6 months: PBs at 5k / 10k / HMOff beat running achievement: Still not been beaten by any Kent forumite:) Miles run: 819Rest days: usually once or twice per week.Highlight: breaking 16 mins for the first time
not setting yourself a specific time goal for your first marathon as it can detract from the enjoyment of the event. I will be really interested to see what time you achieve though and how much fun you have doing it.
Hey everyone! A few weeks ago, I ran the Reading half-marathon, and really enjoyed it. I haven't entered any more races yet, but do intend to. However, without a goal to work towards, training is becoming a lot harder, and dare I say it, a bit
and kids."Neil I run more for exercise and pleasure than to race but have a 1/2m this weekend and my goal is no more than 2 hrs and then do NY marathon in 4:30 which is what I'd hoped to do FLM in but took 4:54. Publicly declared!! yes, it's not all about
timings. Mine are :- Sub 38 10k - Finish my 1st Half Marathon- Sub 18 5k- possibly join a club...? 2 goals for me this year:1. Run my first Marathon, the VLM, sub-4.5 hours and enjoy it2. Complete 1,000 miles in 2010Jay F - I'd say that you can achieve
.There's on point, i think,in treating this as a race, not when your goal is the FLM.So have fun & treat it as a training run.I ran the MK half last weekend, but my goal is the Marathon de Paris so i done the same-nice & easy, & yea, it was a good trainig run So good
