RW 10 Mile Schedule
by Clive Wintrip 2

I have just completed a 10 mile race having followed the RW 8 week schedule.  My aim was for sub-60, a realistic target given my summer 5K and 10K times.  Sticking closely to the schedule, but modifying to suit local races etc., I found the training

I ran 8 miles when the schedule
states 2 x 4 miles this week by ackermilk

. But if you've got taper madness a nice gentle 12 miler will make you feel better. I was following sub 3:45 schedule but my times suggest 3:30ish as you say after all those 20s and 22, 12 miles has pretty much ceased to be a long way :O) you can do a 12 a week

schedule calls for 14 mile at marathon pace..
...but I am well below that! by straitjacket

have just three weeks to go I would run part of the schedule asking for 17 miles with 14@MP. For me this was going to be 7.22.I did 18.5 mile @8.13! I just could not go any faster. Last week I ran 22 miles @8.11 without too much effort-average heart

What are you doing? by JP Fuerteventura

So, 2 'easy' miles the day before a monumental 26.2m effort? That's what it says in the RW schedule. What are your thoughts?I have never run the day before race day, but then again, I've never run a marathon. What is everyone else doing and saying
